Eggs. The most classic of breakfast foods. Whether they’re scrambled, fried, or poached, eggs make a delicious, protein-packed addition to your diet! Eggs can be prepared a variety of ways, but nothing beats a good old fashioned omelette. Though thought to originate from ancient Persia, omelettes were popularized in France a little later on — even Napoleon enjoyed them! Omelettes are one of the most flexible dishes around: they come from all over the globe, in all shapes and sizes, and with any ingredients you’d like! Popular additions include cheese, bacon, mushrooms, all kinds of veggies, and whatever’s leftover in the fridge. Eggs are rich in protein — an important nutrient for muscle growth found all around the body. Even your hair is made of protein! When filled with other healthy ingredients, omelettes make a delicious and nutritious meal!

Put on a plate and enjoy!
Fun Q&A!
Q: Eggs have a lot of protein in them which makes them a perfect snack or breakfast item.. Which part of the egg do you think has the most protein?
A: The egg yolks have about 3 grams of protein and the egg whites have about four grams of protein. They are some of the most nutritious foods in the world. Adding different ingredients like cheese, spinach, or onions can add some flavor and other nutrients to the snack as well. Omelets add a fun twist to eggs because you can use almost any leftovers as ingredients in your omelet.
Q: When cutting or chopping ingredients using a knife should you use a sharp or dull knife?
A: You should use a sharp knife. This may seem backwards, but it is a lot safer to use a sharp knife because it takes less pressure to cut your ingredient. If you are cutting with a dull knife there is a greater chance it will cut you. Whenever you are using a knife in the kitchen make sure to ask for permission, and if you are having a hard time, ask for help!
Q: Are blue eggs blue in the middle?
A: No! There was a ~genetic mutation~ 500 years ago that caused blue egg shells, but it doesn’t affect the taste/looks of the inside!
Q: Why do our bodies need protein?
A:
Protein builds our bones, muscles, and skin! :0
When you are injured, protein helps heal.
Red blood cells (which carry oxygen throughout our body) carry oxygen using a protein!
There are proteins that help digest the food that we eat
Q: What are some high-protein foods?
A: Some high protein foods include eggs, Almonds, meat, Tofu, oats, Milk products (including milk, cheese, yogurt, etc), quinoa, and the list goes on!!!!!!!!
